Spanifix is a tool for correcting Spanish text. This policy explains what data is processed, how it is used, and your choices.

Who we are

Spanifix is the data controller for this service. If you have privacy questions, contact us at spanifix@gmail.com.

What data is processed

Text you submit for correction – This text is processed temporarily to generate corrections and explanations.
Basic account information (if applicable) – Such as your email address, used for authentication and subscription management.
Google Sign-In account data – If you use Google Sign-In, we receive basic profile information (such as your email and display name) from Google to authenticate your account.
Payment-related data – For paid subscriptions, payment processing is handled by Stripe. Spanifix does not store full payment card details.

Spanifix does not store corrected texts long-term or build user profiles from them.

How your data is used

Your text is processed only to:

Generate a corrected version
Explain meaningful language mistakes

Minor corrections (punctuation, capitalization) may be applied silently.

Google account data is used only for sign-in, account security, and account-related communication.

Third-party services

Spanifix relies on a small number of trusted services to operate:

OpenAI – to generate text corrections
Firebase (Google) – for authentication and basic infrastructure
Stripe – for payment processing (for Pro subscriptions)

These services only receive the data necessary to perform their function.

What Spanifix does not do

No selling of personal data
No advertising or tracking
No use of submitted text to train models by Spanifix

Data retention

Submitted text is processed ephemerally and is not stored beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

Account data is retained while your account is active, and may be deleted on request as described below.

Account and data deletion

You can request account deletion and associated personal data deletion by contacting spanifix@gmail.com from your account email. We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable law and operational requirements.

Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact spanifix@gmail.com.

Children's privacy

Spanifix is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

Google API services disclosure

When Google Sign-In is used, Spanifix's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements where applicable.

Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
